Apple today announced their long-awaited VR/AR product. Named "Apple Vision Pro", Apple is venturing into a confusing market with many competitors. The Apple device is meant to be used by demanding prosumer (professional consumers) or business users. At at price of $3500, it will be interesting only to those with not budget concerns or die hards wanting to explore the very edge of fusion between human vision and computer simulation.

It's our opinion that Apple didn't produce a product meant to succeed in volume. Their "we dare you to buy it" pricing is a great strategy. It attracts developers and those with money to burn. These "prosumers" don't measure value the way mere mortals do. They want bleeding edge technology to be "in the know" and "cool."

And the last thing early buyers will do is bash the product because of the price. If it offers even one feature that is "amazing", these same pioneers will be likely to tell friends, "just wait until you can afford one..." you'll love it!
